There are ideal colorful ways to cross them in 4x4 like:
 The way that goes to the Corner, leaving by route 9, and that crosses to the socoscora river, ways of cornice and gorges, passing by gorgeous places in the mountain faldeo and crossing the forests of palms caranday, giving to everything a turn and after crossing approximately about 10 km returns to route 9 to the foot of the river basin.
 Another beautiful route is the way that raises and crosses the mountain ranges of San Luis (provincial route nº 9), crossing all Pampas of the wintertimes (high penillanura) and arriving until the Carolina, an old mining town, this is an unforgettable route.

◊ Observation of birds
 The valley of San Francisco has an important variety of birds, being representative of the place “the King of the Forest” this bird lives to the east of the mountain range of the Andes and from Colombia it arrives to the humid gorges from Cordoba and San Luis. This bird is in extinction danger, we protect it. In addition there are other species of the place like: the black zorzales, cat, red Finches, benteveos, real carpenter and two species of carpenters, 7 colors or naranjeros, calandrias, chingolos, wanderers, billhooks or the "avioncitos", and many others …
In order to make this observations of birds it is advisable to contract guides of tourism in the municipality or local lenders of this service. At the present time they are managing the formation of an association to work with the conservation of birds of the place, as thus also to identify the people in charge of the furtive hunting and ideally of these birds, that in addition comprise of the patrimony of the nature of San Luis.

◊ Fishing
Overcoming the rivers "Claro" and "Curtiembre", in this rivers backwaters and wells form in where it is possible to fish trouts of until a kilogram, this activity combines fishing, trekking and the interpretation of the flora and fauna in the gorges of the Mountain ranges of San Luis.
Only 20 km of San Francisco of Monte de Oro is the locality of "Lujan", in where, on the foot of hills there is a dam where the fishing of the pejerrey or carps can be practiced.

Bike is ideal for the lovers of the mountain, to cross the streets of San Francisco and to visit the places of cultural interest, like appreciating its old constructions of the century XIX.
This means of mobility are very used in the zone, and in the neighborhood of the town there are several streets and footpaths that are propitious to enjoy a healthful stroll.
There are also circuits of mountain for the demanding ones, ways that cross gorges and rivers, of charming landscapes, that unite forests of palms, abandoned mines and indigenous paintings of great cultural value. |

San Francisco del Monte de Oro offers gorgeous places and ideal footpaths to cross his geography and to enjoy cavalcades between mountain ranges, rivers, gorges and palm forests.

◊ Paragliding
Since the construction of the way of the Route 9 that raises the Mountain ranges, it presents/displays an interesting point for this practice, being able to ascend with the vehicle until the 2000 meters of height.
